Description
This 1 km long urban beach is considered the best sandy area for visitors in the district. It spreads from the left side of the estuary of the Sella River to the Jurassic layers of Somos hill, on its western limit. Santa Marina beach holds the Q Quality Certificate, a national label that guarantees its excellent set of equipment and services: aid post, lifeguard, PA system, watch tower, showers, toilets, disabled people’ service, beach bars and parking.
The fine white sand of Santa Marina beach is perfect for sunbathing and children plays. Furthermore, swimmers will find wide water zones for bathing safely, and some specific buoyed areas are displayed for surfers.
Its promenade is a privileged wide surface in front of the Cantabrian Sea, ideal for a relaxing walk or to do some running. It is watched over by an exceptional group of Indianos’ mansions, the eclectic high architecture style of the country at the beginning of 20th century.
