ARDINES MASSIF PICNIC AREA AND VIEWPOINTS
Beschreibung
This picnic area at the top of the Ardines massif stands on a typical relief of calcareous undergrounds; and so, dolinas, caves and sinkholes are visible all around. Beneath your feet a complex net of galleries represents the first home of our Palaeolithic ancestors. The entrance to Tennis Cave, the skylight of the Ardines Cuevona and Pozu’l Ramu Sinkhole, stand hidden on the zone.
From the Ardines viewpoints, a full panorama over the ocean and the Sella estuary is available. Up there, the filled wetland of the beach quarter and the dimension of the transformed original Sella river’s estuary can be understood, enjoyed and discerned.
Driving along the old road N-632 to the east, soon on your left you’ll find the starting point of the AS-341 road to El Carmen village. Heading this road, 100 m farther, a second turning point on your left leads you up to La Moría site, beside the Ardines picnic area’s parking.
